We got a christmas tree

We decided that we'd get a tree on Monday and start decorating the house. Well it took this long to get it all done and now it really feels like Christmas. The kids have written to Santa and are anxiously waiting for what he will bring them. Ashley asked "how does Santa make all the toys and things." I said, "well I think that Santa is up to date with computers and he shops for the toys online." Silly me because she came back with "how does he pay for it?" Well not that I was lying to her, but I said that he saves up all year and the stores give him a really special price because he is Santa." I don't think that satisfied her but she was tired of talking to me about it. I think that she is getting wise to the whole Santa thing.

Happy Holidays

I just wanted to catch everyone up on what we did over Thanksgiving. We were blessed with an opportunity to go and visit Grandparents up in Santa Cruz. We had so much fun. The kids always enjoy visiting Grandma and Grandpa. We also had some unexpected things also. Bill went and played the turkey bowl on Thanksgiving day. I stayed home with my mom and helped get dinner underway. We had total of 25 people for dinner, both friends and family. It was also our nieces birthday and she wanted to go surfing and so after dinner some went surfing and others took a nap, Bill went surfing with them. About the unexpected, William got the flu we think or something, Friday and threw up at breakfast. He was a load of fun that morning. It lasted all the way until we got home on Sunday evening. What a way to end a great week. Ashley got to play with her cousins and they played and played and played. They were fun to watch. Samuel was excited to just be with all the action and that was good. He loved going to watch TV with Grandpa. He just smiled at everything. We had a great Thanksgiving and we have much to be thankful for. Especially our family and friends.
