10 years and counting

Bill and I have been married for 10 years today. I can't believe that it has been so long. I remember the first time that I saw him and how much I wanted to get to know him. We had our rocky start and some bumps in the road. But I love him more and more everyday.

Getting use to Santa Cruz

When people ask about where I am from I tell them Santa Cruz. They immediately say oh how nice it must have been to grow up so close to the beach. I reply, yea. Well growing up here and living here with my own little family is two totally separate things. Ashley is getting is doing well she is playing soccer on her Uncle Joe's soccer team and is getting really good. Getting use to here much smaller school has been a challenge and she really misses her old friends back in Fresno. William has been in pre-school and is loving everything about it. He has grown so much and loves that he can just put a jacket on and go outside to play. Samuel is probably the one that has changed the most. He is walking/running and can almost keep up with the other kids. He wants to be as big as William but falls alittle short. He is starting to talk more and loves to hear Grandpas big truck come up the driveway. Bill and I are doing well we are adjusting to our new environment, and greatful for all the help we have had in this time of adjustment.

Last couple days of Living in Fresno

We are moving at the end of this week to Santa Cruz. We are moving in with my parents and get our lives in a sable condition and go from there. It is wonderful to know that we have the support of a loving family that is helping us the whole way. It is sad to be leaving Fresno, when I think about all the friends that I have made the good times and the bad. So much has happened in our lives while we lived here. William was just a baby when we moved here, Samuel wasn't even a thought. Ashley started school, soccer, really friends and just had a great time. I know that life is full of changes but I also know that real friends last forever. We are looking forward to the new adventure in our lives and will update things more.

Samuel is walking

We are so excited that Samuel is walking. I was on the phone with one of my friends and Samuel just decided to walk across the room. It was really exciting and of course our video camera was broken and I couldn't find the digital camera to get it on. But will get it soon. The kids are just so excited to everytime that he walks.

We also got Water park passes for the summer. It has been really fun to go and have a place for the kids to play and have fun. The weather is heating up and we love our AC.

Happy Birthday William

4 years ago William Barton Chaddock was born in Santa Fe New Mexico. I can't believe that he is 4 already. We had a great time celebrating his day. Since his birthday was actually on a Sunday we had a little friend party on Saturday the 6th. We went to Chuck E Cheese and then came back to our house for cake and icecream. We had so much fun. I made a racecar cake and it turned out pretty good.

Sunday was a totally different story it started with William throwing up @ 6:00 in the morning. He continued to do this all day. He could keep anything down and we didn't get to celebrate with him on his day. We just had a very low key day. We'll celebrate at a different time.

Soccer, softball, school, birthday, house hunting what a week.

This was my last week of school: On Tuesday I had Soccer sigh-ups that I help out and it was hot out in the sun. Wednesday Ashley had her final softball game and it was fun to watch Bill and her playing around out there. Thursday I took my Sociology final on Thursday, it was 25 questions multiple choice, worth 50 pts. It was something that I wasn't too worried about. After the final some friends took me out for my birthday, it was so nice to just sit and relax. It was a great time, we laughed really hard and just enjoyed being there with eachother. Friday was my actual birthday, I turned 31 and now am offically in my 30s. Saturday we went looking at houses. We saw about 10 houses and were really tired by the end of the day. Tomorrow I get to teach Relief Society and that will be really fun. Hopefully Monday will be just relaxing, maybe I'll go and get a pedicure.

Summer weather is hitting Fresno

We are hot here in Fresno, it is suppose to hit around 105 on Sunday. Love warm weather, but hot weather isn't my cup of tea. This just isn't right to have it be this hot already. But thank goodness for air conditioning.

My semester is almost over yea. This was a long sememster for me very boring class. But the school year is almost over for Ashley also. She has little under a month and is getting ready for summer. I can't believe that we have a 3rd grader almost. We have a very busy summer, we are trying to buy a house, I have summer school 4 days a week for about 5 hours a day. Trips to the beach, to get qet away from the heat. Soccer starts and then before we know it school will start again.

Surgery sucked

I hated the fact that I had to have surgery but I know that it will help in the long run. I couldn't have done it with out a wonderful husband and wonderful friends and most of all my mom that came and took care of us.

I went under the knife on May 4th aroun 2:30 it took me almost 4 hours to come out of recovery. We didn't get home until around 8:30pm. I felt like a truck hit me. I slowly recovered the next couple days and now I'm doing much because of the help that I've had. I couldn't imagaine doing this by myself.

Samuel turn 1 year old

Yesterday was Samuel's birthday. We had a good time making his day special. As much as a 1 year old can expect. Samuel is our picky eater. But I know that he liked meatloaf so we had meatloaf for dinner. We then invited some good friends over for cake and ice cream. It was alot of fun. We sure did have a great time and even the birthday boy had fun. Too much cake made him a cranky baby at night. But that is alright because that goes with being 1. I can't believe that a whole year has gone by already. It seems like yesterday that we are rushing to the hospital because I had gone into labor. Time flys when you are having fun.

A day at the Beach

Over spring break we went to the beach over in Santa Cruz where my parents live. It was so much fun. The kids loved it. Samuel was excited to get his hands on the sand. William wasn't sure of the water, and Ashley couldn't get enough of it all. We were glad that my sister Rebekah and her friend from school Lindsey were there to help and enjoy the day. We brought lunches and ate and laughed. We are definately going to do this again in the summer.

Finally we are all feeling better

It has been a rough couple weeks but we are on the road to recovery. I was the last one to get sick and the last one to finally be able to sleep with out pain medication. But we are all doing well, Ashley is starting softball this weekend and we are sure excited about that. Samuel is on the move, he is crawling and I am loving it cause I don't have to hold him all day long. The weather is warm and bright and everything is starting to feel like spring. We are looking forward to spring breatk where we get to go to grandmas house and go to the beach and hang out with cousins and just get away.

It was Bills birthday on Sunday and it wasn't very exciting for him because we were all sick. But we are going to make up for it this weekend.

This sickness will never end

We have been fighting this cold for about 2 weeks, everyone has a cough, I have a awful sore throat. I can't believe that we have been sick for this long I would think that it would go away, but no, it just stays.

Thank goodness that the weather has been wonderful. Nice enough to open the windows and allow the air to come in and fill the house. I love spring

Ashley's birthday

Well we did it, Ashley had a birthday party last night and it was alot of fun. We made it a girls night out and with that we decided to turn our garage into a dance club called "Club Octagon" We had it all decked out, with a stage to dance on, disco ball, strobe light and even drinks and snacks. The girls just danced and played some games. It was really cute the pictures don't do justice. Well Ashley invited 18 friends and I thought that only about 7-8 would come, no about 14 little girls came. Thank goodness for Nicole for coming to my rescue. She had the nail polish and just helped with crowd control. I think that the girls had alot of fun. Ashley had a lot of fun and it was fun to see her interact with her friends. I made the cake and it was alot of fun too. I'm glad that we did a party but I'm really glad that it is over. Now William is asking what his party will be like. Thank goodness I have a couple more months.

Ashley's day

Ashley turned 8 on Thurday. We had a great day, it started with a pancake breakfast, cupcakes at school, then ended the day with us taking Ashley out to dinner at Olive Garden. We had a great time and we had some extra visitors Granddaddy and Grandma Layton were in town and joined us for dinner it was really special that they made they were able to join us. They sang to Ashley and it was a great evening.

Friday was a busy day getting ready for the big event of Ashley getting baptized on Saturday. I had to do some cleaning, cooking, shopping. It was alot of work. That night Bill and I attended the temple with Joe, Amy, Pam, Newell, Larry and Linda. It was a great start to the weekend.

Saturday was the big day and Ashley was so excited, the rest of the family came into town and it was alot of fun, alittle stressful but alot of fun. After the baptism we all went to the park and played talked and laughed. Then after a while people started to leave. It was a special day and we survied. I was so proud our Ashley, for choices that she has made and the girl that she is.

William just make us smile

The results are in and Sociology was a bust

Samuel is doing much better, thank goodness for modern medicine and blessing and prayers. I still have to watch him and he is still not out of the woods but, at least I can breathe alittle, well my Sociology test wasn't so good. I totally bombed it. But that is why they made extra credit, I will be doing lots of that.

It is raining here in Fresno, I love the rain. It makes everything so clean, then when the clouds clear you can see the mountains full of snow and think what a wonderful world Heavenly Father made for us. That makes all the bad things go away for some time.

Boy have we had a couple of weeks for the records

Well it has been one for the records for our family, it all started with William getting sick with a cough, I took him to the Doctors and he has RSV. Which they can't do anything about. It just has to run it's course. Which isn't very much fun as long as he doesn't have any breathing problems. Well that is getting better but then Samuel gets sick, not just a little sick but really sick where I took him to the doctors today and we sat there being observed for about 3 hours to see if he was to sick to be sent home; So he wasn't but they wanted a chest X ray anyways to rule out anything serious. Thank goodness it turned out all right. Now he is at home and a sleep but I get to check on him every hour to make sure that his breathing isn't too fast. To top off the whole day I have a test in Sociology tomorrow and haven't even studied for it because I haven't had time to even go to the bathroom let alone open my books to read. Wow that felt so much better I think that I'll go and open the books and study alittle bit.

William got hurt

Yesterday I was at the store and when I got home Bill told me that there was a little bit of an accident. I walked in and he continued to tell me that William had grabbed the burner on the stove and had burned his hand. I went and looked at it and he sure did. He has 2nd degree burns on his middle and ring finger on the inside knuckle. He also burned the outside of his pointer finger. He cried alot and then we wrapped them up and gave him some nice medicine to help with the pain and he went to bed. It was a real eventful night.

William is a Sunbeam

Well it was offical yesterday William was no longer a nursery age kid he went to his first sunbeam class or CTR 4. He was really excited when we first talked about how big boys go to Primary and that nursery is for littler kids. But when the time came for him to actually do it, he was alittle bit nervous. But, I think that I was more nervous for him then he was. I took him to Primary and stayed for awhile and then he told me that I could go. I was shocked that I got dismissed by my 3 year old. But was excited that he wanted to go. There were about 8 kids on the list for his class. Ashley is now in CTR 8 and getting ready to be baptized, which is reallly exciting for us. She is getting big and now I can't believe that she is old enough to get baptized.

Happy New Year

We made it to 2009, we had a great time up in Santa Cruz with my parents and had a loads of fun. My brother Joe and his family came over to the house and some of there friends. It was fun we played games and laughed and ate. We let the kids bring in the New Year at 11:00 so we could sort of calm things down, it didn't work that well. Except William who decided that around 9:00 he was tired and wanted to go to bed, so he went and slept right through the banging of pots and pans and yelling and all that fun stuff. Samuel on the other hand was just as wake as he could be. It was nice to be around family for the holidays. We then on the 2nd went to the church and played capture the flags with nerf guns, it was so much fun. We also played indoor soccer and football because it was too cold outside to play. We are looking forward to the new year and all the things we hope to accomplish.
